Raiders Remain in UIFL; First Tryout Is Set for August 25

FORT MYERS, FL - The Ultimate Indoor Football League is pleased to announce the Lakeland Raiders have renewed their league agreement for the 2013 season.
The Raiders finished the 2012 season with a a loss in the Southern Conference Championship to Florida rival, the Florida Tarpons and a 6-6 record. 2012 was the inaugural season for the Raiders.
"We are proud to announce season two with the UIFL for the lakeland Raiders organization" said, Michael Mink Raiders Founder,Co-Owner. "We have a great rival with the Florida Tarpons and now with the new Sarasota Thunder it will help increase our fan base along the Gulf Coast. The UIFL is committed to making the right steps in 2013 and we support the effort by being a top franchise both on and off the field." added Mink.
With the addition of the Sarasota Thunder there are now three teams in the state of Florida.
"It's great to have the Raiders return for the 2013 season. The Tarpons/Raiders rivalry will only continue to grow, and with the addition of Sarasota along with better competition throughout the UIFL the Raiders fans will get to see some great football and entertainment." Said UIFL Co-Founder Andrew Haines.
