
Raider Nation Comes to Florida

LAKELAND, FL - Raider Nation is coming to Florida.
The second Ultimate Indoor Football League team to call the state of Florida home will be the Lakeland Raiders, announced today (September 15, 2011) at a press conference held at the Lakeland Arena.
Along with the revealing of the team name, the UIFL announced Michael Mink is the founder and owner of the UIFL organization. The team colors for Lakeland will be light blue, black and silver.
"It's an exciting day for the city of Lakeland, the state of Florida and the Ultimate Indoor Football League," said UIFL President Andrew Haines, who is also the owner of the Ft. Myers team. "We look forward to an excellent and long-lasting rivalry."
Also in attendance was Lakeland mayor Gow Fields.
