
Rage Add Depth by Signing Four

Broomfield, Colo. - With the first official on-ice session of training camp less than a week away, the Rocky Mountain Rage have signed forwards Cody Devitt and Jeff Hansen as well as defensemen Jarred Mohr and Justin Schmit. The club now has 21 players under contract for the upcoming Central Hockey League season.
Devitt (6-foot-2, 211 lbs.) is a 20-year-old rookie who played last season for the Yorkton Terriers in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. In 52 games with the Terriers, Devitt recorded 14 points (9g-5a) and racked up 214 penalty minutes.
Hansen (6-foot-2, 225 lbs.) is another imposing forward who is entering his fifth professional campaign. He spent the majority of his first four years playing for the Knoxville Ice Bears, posting seven points (3g-4a) and 178 penalty minutes for the Southern Professional Hockey League team last season.
Mohr (5-foot-11, 185 lbs.) joins the Rage from the ECHL, where he combined for 10 points (2g-8a) and 52 penalty minutes with both the Cincinnati Cyclones and Pensacola Ice Pilots as a rookie last season.
Schmit (5-foot-11, 180 lbs.) is also entering his second year in the pro ranks, having accumulated 11 points (4g-7a) and 274 penalty minutes while patrolling the blue line for the SPHL's Huntsville Havoc a season ago.

The Rage open training camp next Monday, Oct. 8, and begin preparations to face the Colorado Eagles in a home-and-home pre-season series. Rocky Mountain hosts their Front Range rivals at Broomfield Event Center on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 7:05 p.m. before traveling to the Budweiser Events Center on Sunday, Oct. 14, also at 7:05 p.m. Tickets for the pre-season tilt on Oct. 13 are half their regular season price, beginning as low as $7.50 for adults and $6.50 for kids 12 and under.
The regular season officially begins on Oct. 19 when the Rage travel to battle the Odessa Jackalopes. The team then plays its home opener against the Tulsa Oilers at Broomfield Event Center on Friday, Oct. 26, at 7:05 p.m.
