Gary Steelheads News Release

Gary, IN-The Gary Steelheads have officially begun filling roster spots for their inaugural season in the International Basketball League. The Steelheads have announced that 6'6" guard/wing Quinnel Brown will join the team for the 2008 campaign.

Brown was a two-year starter at Auburn University after transferring from Wabash Valley Junior College. Brown averaged 12.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game as a senior for the Tigers (2005)

Gary Steelheads coach Rob Spon - "Quinnel is a great athlete that will help us on both ends of the floor. He is an extremely versatile defender, with the quickness to stay with guards and the strength to play great interior defense."

Next, Brown suited up for the Twin City Ballers and Detroit Panthers (both ABA). Most recently, Brown returned to Sweden and the Dragons for the 2007 season.
