
Quebec's Rodriguez Sold to New York Yankees

Durham, NC--The Northeast League announced today that Quebec Les Capitales' OF Carlos Rodriguez has been sold to the New York Yankees.
He is the second Quebec player in the last four weeks to be sold to a major league organization. Les Capitales' RHP Julien Tucker was sold to the Seattle Mariners on October 31.
Rodriguez, 26, began the 2003 season in the Boston Red Sox organization. He signed with Quebec on June 2nd and went on to be the Rawlings Northeast League Player of the Month for June. In the month Rodriguez went 35-for-108 (.324) with 23 runs, six doubles, one triple, 12 home runs and 32 runs batted in.
For the season Rodriguez led the league with 21 home runs, and was third in the league with 63 RBI's. He represented Quebec in the All-Star Game and was selected as a member of the post-season All-Star Team.
Rodriguez was selected in the 11th-round by Boston out of the University of Louisville in 1998.
