Thornhill, Ontario - Quebec Capitales INF T.J. White and Sussex County Miners RHP David Palladino are the Can-Am League's Batter and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for the week of July 22-28, as selected by PointStreak, the league's official statistician.

In six games, White hit .480 (12-for-25) with three doubles, a home run and 13 RBI as the Capitales went 3-3. The Las Vegas, Nev., native had multiple hits in four of the six contests. Most notably, he had seven RBI, the most in a single game by any Can-Am player this season, and a pair of doubles in his team's 12-6 win over Rockland Friday. White was also 3-for-5 with three RBI in a 12-3 victory over Trois-Rivières Tuesday.

After missing nearly six weeks of action due to injury, White has been a catalyst for the Capitales since his return July 13, hitting .393 in 14 games this month. The 27-year-old is in his second season with the Capitales, tying for the team lead with 11 home runs and 51 runs scored in 2018. Previously, the 27-year-old spent parts of five seasons in the Minnesota Twins organization, reaching as high as Double-A, after playing collegiately at Nevada-Las Vegas.

Palladino was superb in his only outing of the week, earning a complete-game victory in a 6-1 win over Ottawa Sunday. The native of Emerson, N.J., limited the Champions to five hits while striking out seven as the Miners completed a 5-1 week and increased their lead on first place in the standings to 3.5 games.

Palladino improved his record on the season to 3-1 with the win. In his first season with the Miners, he has been used both as a starter and a reliever on the league's top pitching staff. Prior to Sussex County, the 26-year-old spent the 2018 campaign in the Can-Am League with Rockland, where he went 5-2 with a 2.92 ERA in 71.0 innings of work. Palladino also spent the 2013 through 2017 seasons in the New York Yankees' organization after being chosen in the 5th round of the 2013 draft out of Howard (Texas) College.
