Lancaster JetHawks News Release

(LANCASTER, CA) - The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes finally got some revenge against the JetHawks. After losing 11 of the first 14 meetings between the two teams, the Quakes scored four runs in the sixth inning to come from behind and beat the JetHawks 7-4 at Clear Channel Stadium just one night after the JetHawks beat the Quakes by the same score. Meanwhile, the Lake Elsinore Storm lost their sixth straight game, keeping the JetHawks in first place by two games.

The Quakes took a two-run lead in the third inning before the JetHawks turned the tables. Tony Granadillo's RBI triple in the third put the JetHawks on the scoreboard. They then loaded the bases in the fourth inning. Scott White drove home one run and reached on an error allowing a second run to score. Salvador Paniagua followed with a single to bring home a third run, putting the JetHawks up 4-2.

The Lancaster pitchers walked a tightrope in several innings and finally fell off in the sixth. The Quakes exploded for four runs to come from behind and get the victory.

Tony Granadillo led the JetHawks with two of their six hits, including his team leading seventh triple. The JetHawks did not hit a home run, so they will attempt to tie and break their franchise record for homers in tomorrow's series finale. The JetHawks 172 home runs this season is just two behind the club's all-time record.

The JetHawks wrap up a three-game home stand Wednesday night against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. The JetHawks starter will be T.J. Nall (1-1, 3.65) while the Quakes go with Tim Schoeninger (5-1, 6.46). The game starts at 7:00 PM and will be broadcast on radio at Magic 1340 AM, as well as on internet at www.JetHawks.com. The Pre-Game Show starts at 6:45.

It will be a Cheers Buck Beers Thursday at Clear Channel Stadium. Draught beer will be on sale for just $1 through the sixth inning.

Great tickets for most JetHawks home games are available now. Contact the JetHawks box office by phone at (661) 726-5400 or online at www.JetHawks.com.
