Quad City's Mickey Lang Named 50/50 Central/CHL Rookie of the Month

GLENDALE, AZ (March 27, 2012) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Quad City forward Mickey Lang has been named the recipient of the 50/50 Central/CHL Rookie of the Month for March, 2012. The first-year forward will receive a special gift courtesy of 50/50 Central and the Central Hockey League.
Lang, 25, racked up an incredible 22 points in 13 games during the month of March scoring nine goals with 13 assists and he was a league-best +19 during the month. In his first 48 games of the season, the 5-10, 174-pound forward scored just 18 points reflecting is strong offensive month in March. Lang finished the season with 19 goals and 21 assists (40 points). Earlier this week, Lang was named the Oakley First Star of the Month for March adding to his accolades.
During the month of March, the Reno, Nevada native had points in 12 of the 13 games he played with eight multiple-point games. Lang also was an even or plus in 12 of March's games.
Before turning pro, Lang played four seasons at Manhattanville College scoring 47 goals with 46 assists in 88 career college games.
