QMJHL changes schedule for 2013-14 season
Published on February 11, 2013 under Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
MONTREAL, Monday February 11, 2013 - The Board of Governors of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League voted today to change the 2013-14 regular season schedule during the Semi-Annual Assembly held at the Sheraton hotel in Dorval. The regular season schedule will henceforth commence on Thursday, September 12th, 2013 by the President Cup winning team. "The reasoning behind this decision was to simply shorten the period between training camps and the start of the regular season" said the League's commissioner, Gilles Courteau.
There will still be 68 games during the regular season.
