Pulaski Mariners News Release
The Pulaski Mariners have announced today that General Manager Ryan Kiel will be leaving the organization to become the Assistant Athletic Director at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne Florida.
The Mariners just concluded a record-breaking year on and off the field. On the field, The Mariners won the Appalachian League Championship for the first time since 1991 and off the field; almost every metric associated with a successful Minor League Baseball organization improved this season.
Some of the significant enhancements to the fan experience this year include the launching of the Mariners Kids Club; live streaming radio; and new and exciting game promotions. The organization will build from the success and 2013 and 2014 will be an exciting season as The Mariners defend their crown.
"This year has been an incredible learning experience for me. I am very thankful for the opportunity given to me by Pulaski Baseball Inc.," said Kiel.
"Ryan has been very valuable for baseball and the fans of Pulaski. Although his time with us was short the benefits will be long lasting," said Pulaski Baseball Inc. co-owner Wayne Carpenter. We would like Ryan to be with us, but this is a super opportunity for Ryan to continue to develop his many skills. We wish him well"
"This was a decision that did not come easy to me," said Kiel. Pulaski is a place that I will always remember. I was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to come back and work for the team I made my professional playing debut with."
