Public Invited to Connellsville Press Announcement

March 13, 2014 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) News Release

On Thursday, March 20th at 5 pm, the Federal Hockey League will be holding a press conference in Connellsville, Pennsylvania at the Ice Mine Arena.

At the press conference the FHL will be previewing the upcoming game on March 22nd at the Ice Mine between the Danville Dashers and Watertown Privateers. League officials will also be presenting their plan to bring an FHL franchise to Connellsville next season.

As part of the press conference, the Danville Dashers team will be in attendance. Following the conference at 6 pm, the Dashers will take to the ice for a one hour practice. This will be followed by an open skate for the public at 7 pm where fans can join the Dashers on the ice.

The Dashers are lead by Wampum, PA native Matt Puntureri. A 7-year professional, Puntureri has played over 250 professional games and has been part of 3 championship teams.

Also in attendance will be the following Federal Hockey League officials - Commissioner, Don Kirnan, Vice Commissioner, Andrew "Sarge" Richards, and Director of Media Relations, Dave Smolnycki.

This event is open to the public and fans are encouraged to attend.

The Ice Mine is located at 5001 West Crawford Avenue, Connellsville, Pennsylvania.
