Prust Recalled by Calgary

London,ON: Former London Knights Left Winger Brandon Prust was recalled by the Calgary Flames yesterday and is expected to make his NHL Debut sometime this week for the Calgary Flames. The Flames face the Detroit Red Wings tonight at Joe Louis Arena and will finish up a 3 game road trip in Columbus and St. Louis this weekend.

Prust, 22 was the Flames 3rd Round Choice at the 2004 NHL Draft. Prust was a member of the 2004-2005 Memorial Cup Champion London Knights. He will look to become the 6th player from the 2004-2005 Memorial Cup Champions to play in the National Hockey League. Dan Fritsche ( Columbus ), Corey Perry ( Anaheim ) , Danny Syvret ( Edmonton ) , Gerald Coleman ( Tampa Bay ) and David Bolland ( Chicago ) are all members of the 2004-2005 London Knights who have played in at least 1 National Hockey League game.

Prust, 22 is a native of London and was signed by the Knights as a free agent in September 2002 and is a graduate of the London Jr. Knights and London Nationals Jr. B programs. He attended Regina Mundi and Fanshawe College while playing for the Knights.
