Prospect League Releases 2013 Schedule

The Prospect League Board of Directors released the League's 2013 schedule today. Once again each team will play 60 games, 30 home, 30 away with Opening Day slated for Tuesday, May 28. The regular season closes on August 5. New for 2013, the League will not play a split season, but will feature an expanded post-season schedule similar to 2012. The top two teams from each division will meet in a best of 3 play-offs with the winners facing off in a best of 3 League Championship Series.
The divisions for 2013: East - Butler BlueSox, Chillicothe Paints, Lorain County Ironmen, Richmond RiverRats, Slippery Rock Sliders & West Virginia Miners; West - Danville Dans, Hannibal Cavemen, Quincy Gems, Springfield Sliders & Terre Haute Rex.

East: Butler May 28 vs. Chillicothe; Chillicothe June 1 vs. Slippery Rock; Lorain County May 28 vs. Richmond; Slippery Rock June 4 vs. Butler; West Virginia May 28 vs. Slippery Rock

Annual All-Star Game
The Prospect League Fifth Annual All-Star Game will be hosted by the Butler BlueSox and Pullman Park in the Pennsylvania community. The Game will be played on July 17th at 7:05 PM Eastern with a series of events leading up to the game.
