Pro Star Tour Comes To Port Huron On January 5

PORT HURON, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings Alumni will kick off their first Pro Stars Series Tour in Port Huron on January 5. McMorran Arena will be full of star power as the Red Wings Alumni take on former NHL Pro Stars.

The game starts at 2:00 p.m with a national anthem performance by Karen Newman, voice of the Red Wings. She will also signing autographs at the game. Hall of Famer and Stanley Cup winner Ted Lindsay will also sign autographs to kick off the event.

The event is one of five games the Detroit Red Wing Alumni Association will hold throughout the state of Michigan. The proceeds benefit local Red Wings Alumni charities.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome the Red Wings Alumni Pro Star Tour to Port Huron," Icehawks owner and president Larry Kinney said. "The Red Wing Alumni put on a great show, and do it for a great cause. Having former great Red Wings strap on their skates at McMorran Arena is great for hockey at all levels in the Blue Water area."

Featured Red Wings Alumni participants may include Alex Delvecchio, Mickey Redmond, Dino Ciccarelli, Shawn Burr, Paul Ysebaert, Doug Brown, Dennis Hextall, Joey Kocur, Lee Norwood and others.

The Port Huron Icehawks will cap off the day of hockey action when they take on the Bloomington PrairieThunder at 7:30 p.m. Karen Newman will perform the national anthem.

Tickets for the Red Wings Alumni Pro Star game are $10 each and can be purchased at the Port Huron Icehawks office, 325 Main Street, Port Huron or online at www.redwingalumni.com.
