FC Tulsa News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - An exquisite performance by Phillip Goodrum and FC Tulsa last time out set the stage for a pivotal upcoming stretch that begins with FC Tulsa facing off against Indy Eleven on Saturday night, the current 7th seed in the Eastern Conference.

The gumption shown by FC Tulsa last Friday vs. Detroit City FC was the same type of resilience the club has shown all season long. With 10 points rescued from a losing position this season, the most in the USL Championship, the tenacity and mentality to battle back in matches has been a source of pride for this club since day one.

There is no question that the offensive spearhead for Tulsa at the moment is Phillip Goodrum, fresh off a brace, a SportsCenter Top 10 appearance for his diving equalizer last weekend, and coming in as the reigning USL-C Player of the Week. Goodrum has amassed four goals and an assist through six matches with FC Tulsa, and as his teammates appropriately sang at the top of their lungs following their last victory, "Goodrum's on fire - your defense is terrified."

Looking ahead to Saturday night, FC Tulsa has historically gotten the better of Indy Eleven, posting a 4W-1L-1D record against the club from Indianapolis and earning at least a point in the last four meetings.

Indy has strangely struggled at home this season with just one win in front of its home fans and a 1W-4L-3D record overall on its home turf. To pair nicely with this statistic, FC Tulsa has never lost a match in Indy.

After Indy comes two matches against the bottom two clubs in the East, Miami FC and Hartford Athletic, but FC Tulsa must first take care of business on the road before three consecutive matches at ONEOK Field.

Kickoff from Michael A. Carroll Stadium is set for 6 p.m. CT.

SCOUTING INDY ELEVEN

Indy Eleven finds itself middle of the table with a 2W-1L-2D record over its last five. One of its notable strengths is Indy's impressive 82% pass accuracy mark, good for top three in the league. Additionally, Indy boasts the highest average possession rate in the league, spending 57% of its time controlling the ball. Another standout statistic is Indy's average of 413.6 accurate passes per match, the highest in the league.

Aodhan Quinn has been in sizzling form for Indy Eleven, earning a spot in the Team of the Week 17 alongside Goodrum. Despite playing with a 10-man squad, Quinn converted two penalty kicks to help his team secure a 2-2 draw against San Diego Loyal SC last time out. He displayed accuracy and control by completing 56 of 63 passes and winning 5 of 8 duels. Another notable mention goes to Adrian Diz Pe of Indy Eleven, the former Tulsa center-back, who made the bench of the Team of the Week for his contributions.

STAT OF THE MATCH

As part of FC Tulsa's never-say-die mentality, the club leads the USL Championship with eight goals scored in the final 15 minutes of the match. Tulsa led the league in that statistic a year ago as well, finishing the 2022 season with 19 goals in the final 15 minutes.
