
Preview: FC Kansas City Puts Two-Game Winning Streak on the Line against Houston

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (July 19, 2015) - With Amy Rodriguez, Lauren Holiday, Becky Sauerbrunn and Heather O'Reilly back after winning the FIFA Women's World Cup, FC Kansas City (5-5-2, 17 points) will put its two-game winning streak on the line when the Blues host Carli Lloyd, Meghan Klingenberg, Morgan Brian and the Houston Dash this Monday at Swope Soccer Village.
The game will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel and streamed live on YouTube. In-game updates can also be followed on Twitter at @BluesGameday. A limited amount of standing room only tickets are still available.
This will be the second out of three regular season meetings between Kansas City and Houston. Last Saturday May 2, forwards Liz Bogus and Shea Groom each notched a goal to defeat the Dash 2-0 at BBVA Compass Stadium in Week 4 of the 2015 National Women's Soccer League season. FC Kansas City leads the All-time series 3-0-1.
Coach Randy Waldrum's team stands sixth with an overall record of 3-4-4 and 13 points. Houston is coming from a home 2-1 loss against the leading Chicago Red Stars. On the other hand, Groom, who was voted NWSL Player of the Week, scored the game-winning goal and had two assists in Boston to give the Blues a 3-2 victory over the Breakers last weekend.
Next up, FC Kansas City and Houston will meet for the third and last time in the regular season on Wednesday, July 29 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
