LAST TIME OUT: Saint Louis FC was held to a 0-0 draw on the road against Wilmington Hammerheads FC on Wednesday night. Jermie Lynch and Bryan Gaul were among the STL FC players who had quality chances to score, but the visitors were unable to find the decisive goal. Goalkeeper Alec Kann made five saves to post his second clean sheet of the season.

THE OPPONENT: Charlotte Independence enters Saturday's match on a three-game unbeaten streak (2-0-1). Charlotte has been tough to beat at home, going 4-1-2 at Ramblewood Stadium so far this season. Saturday's match is the first meeting between the two USL expansion sides.

THE NUMBERS: Although STL FC has struggled to find the net recently, the team's defense has done a good job of keeping teams off the board. Saint Louis has held its opponent to one goal or fewer in six of its last seven games in all competitions. Sam Fink has emerged as the team's rock at center back, starting every game in league play and logging 1,243 minutes so far this season.

ROAD WARRIORS: With Wednesday's draw at Wilmington, Saint Louis FC has now earned points in five of its six USL road matches this season (2-1-3). The club will have seven remaining away games after Saturday's match in Charlotte.
