
Preds ink Dudley to multi-year deal

ORLANDO, Fla. (June 20, 2006) -- Orlando Predators head coach Jay Gruden continued to put a face on his 2007 squad by announcing that the team had come to terms with wide receiver/defensive back JAVARUS DUDLEY on a new two-year contract.
Dudley had an outstanding rookie season in the Arena Football League, grabbing 78 passes for 1,108 yards and 23 touchdowns. In addition, Dudley rushed 20 times for 61 yards and three more touchdowns to go with 27 tackles and a pass defense.
Dudley's play earned him a spot on the first unit of the Arena Football League's All-Rookie Team.
"Javarus had a solid rookie season for us and continued to improve throughout the year," Gruden said. "We look forward to having him in a Predators uniform for the next two years."
The signing of Dudley gave the Predators seven players under contract for the 2007 season. The Predators have until June 30 to re-sign its own free agents before general free agency begins later this summer.
