Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO - Orlando Predators defensive lineman Adrian Awasom spent a recent afternoon at Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando at "The Call for Photos" event on behalf of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (www.vvmf.com).

The event was organized to support "The Wall That Heals" mobile museum effort, which allows the souls enshrined on the rolling memorial to forever be recognized for their contributions to our country.

"The Call for Photos" encourages family members to have photos scanned of those that lost their lives so they may accompany their names on the memorial.

Awasom spent the afternoon greeting Vietnam Veterans and their families, providing bottled water and taking photos with fans and well-wishers at the display. "I love the opportunity to work with people in the community," Awasom said. "Seeing the displays and meeting the men and women that served in Vietnam gives you a real perspective on things."

Since its inauguration in 1996, "The Wall that Heals" has visited over 350 cities throughout the United States.

The memorial also acts as a mobile museum for visitors to tour and includes pictures and stories of some of the men and women who served in the Vietnam War, along with displays that chronicle history and facts of the war.
