Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. (May 8, 2003) -- With a spot in the Arena Football League post-season already assured, the Orlando Predators announced that 2003 playoff tickets would go on sale today (Friday).

The Predators, 10-4 on the season, need a victory tonight (7:30 p.m.) against the Carolina Cobras (0-14) in the TD Waterhouse Centre or a win next Friday at Detroit (7-7) to clinch a first round playoff bye. Should that happen, the Predators would open the playoffs at home on the Weekend of May 31 – June 1 in a quarterfinal game.

With two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Predators could finish anywhere from fourth to first in the seeding, depending on the outcome of several key games this season – including the San Jose (10-4) at Tampa Bay (11-3) match-up on Sunday (NBC-WESH at 3 p.m.).

Should the Predators finish with a top seed, they would enjoy home field advantage throughout the playoffs. In the event that Orlando fails to secure a top four seed, they would host a wild card game on the weekend of May 24-25.

Playoff tickets are available at the Predators Box Office (407-44-PREDS) and will also be available at the TD Waterhouse Box Office today. Prices range from $5-$40.
