June 6, 2014 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO, FL - The Orlando Predators have been assigned three-time All-Arena defensive back Eddie Moten, the Arena Football League announced Thursday evening. The move reunites Moten with current Predators Head Coach Rob Keefe and wide receiver Larry Brackins, as the trio played together on the 2008 ArenaBowl champion Philadelphia Soul team.
Now in his ninth season in the Arena Football League, Moten (5-10, 185, Texas A&M-Kingsville) has registered 543 total tackles with 117 pass breakups and 47 interceptions in his career. He earned back-to-back first-team All-Arena accolades in 2006 and 2007 before taking second-team honors in 2008.
Moten's assignment marks his second campaign with Orlando, as he played in six games with the Predators during the 2012 season. His most successful season came in 2006 with Philadelphia, when he tied what was previously an AFL record by posting 13 interceptions.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Moten played collegiately at Texas A&M-Kingsville, where he posted 61 tackles, nine interceptions and 17 pass breakups over two seasons.
The Orlando Predators travel to Texas in Week 13 to take on the San Antonio Talons on Saturday, June 7th. Kickoff from the Alamodome is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST.
