Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO - The Orlando Predators activated veteran wide receiver Kendal Thompkins from league suspension, the team announced. Thompkins was previously placed on league suspension following training camp for undisclosed reasons.
Thompkins (5-10, 180, Miami) enters his third season with the Predators after leading the team with an average of 91.4 receiving yards per game in 2015. He finished second on the team with 1,188 yards and 17 touchdowns on 89 receptions. As a rookie with Orlando in 2014, he caught 72 passes for 938 yards and 16 scores.
A local product from Miami, Thompkins was a prep star at Miami Northwestern, where he helped the school secure the 2007 High School National Championship (USA Today) before playing his college career at the University of Miami.
The Predators also traded veteran nose guard Richard Clebert to the Philadelphia Soul in exchange for future considerations.
Orlando travels to play the Jacksonville Sharks in Week 3 on Monday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be nationally televised on Univision and can also be viewed on ESPN3/Watch ESPN.
