Pittsburgh Power News Release

(Pittsburgh, November 4, 2011) The Pittsburgh Power announced the signing of offensive lineman Dan Jones. Jones, a 6'4", 310 pound offensive lineman from Lindenwood University (Mo.), was part of an elite NAIA squad that went 44-7 with 2 conference titles and a peak ranking of #2 over the last 4 seasons. In Jones' final season he recorded (unofficially) 23 "pancake" blocks, contributing to Lindenwood's NAIA leading 52.5 points and 551.5 yards per game.

"Dan is a good athlete for a big man and can move his feet well," remarked Power head coach Chris Siegfried. "He saw a lot of time at guard in college but was in a system which asked a lot from its offensive lineman so I expect him to transition well to the AFL game."
