On Monday, the New York Liberty (13-20) fell to the Dallas Wings (17-16), 86-77, in the second game of their 2022 three-game season series.

At College Park Center, the Liberty finished on 43.5% (27-62) shooting from the field, 36.7% (11-30) from three, and 100% (12-12) at the free throw line.

This contest was the first of a two-game set the Liberty have against Dallas this week as well as New York's first and only Monday game of the season.

Q1: Dallas went on a 20-8 run from the 8:40 mark of the first to the 2:39 mark of the quarter.

Q2: New York went on a 7-0 run from the 9:44 mark of the second to the 8:25 mark of the quarter.

Q3: New York went on a 15-3 run from the 8:03 mark of the third to the 4:38 mark of the quarter.

Q4: Dallas went on an 14-0 run from the 5:31 mark of the fourth to the 1:30 mark of the quarter.


Two Liberty players scored in double figures in tonight's game (Ionescu, Johannès).

Following her second assist of the contest at the 0:23.8 mark of the first quarter, Sabrina Ionescu now owns the franchise single-season assist record (206), surpassing Liberty Ring of Honor Member Teresa Weatherspoon's record set in 1999.

On the night, Ionescu totaled a season-high 32 points, including 18 third-quarter points, a team-high seven rebounds, and a team-high four assists. She also went a perfect 100% (12-12) from the charity stripe, setting career highs in free throw attempts and makes in the contest.

Highlighted by her 13-point second quarter, Marine Johannès finished with 19 points on 63.6% (7-11) shooting from the floor, including 62.5% (5-8) from deep, and three rebounds. Her five makes from beyond the three-point arc tied a career high.

For Dallas, Marina Mabrey finished with a career-high 31 points on 61.1% (11-18) shooting from the floor and four rebounds, while Teaira McCowan added 16 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
