Post Season Championship Details Announced

June 6, 2005 - United States Basketball League (USBL) News Release


The 2005 Post-Season Championship will be held in Salina, KS at the Bicentennial Center, home of the Kansas Cagerz. The single elimination tournament will be played over June 24-26 and feature all eight teams.

A new wrinkle will be added to the first-round format to make the opening round completely inter-divisional. The highest seeded Midwest team will play the lowest seeded Eastern team and vice versa. The second seed in the Midwest will then play the number three seed in the East and vice versa.

Four games will be played on Friday with each game scheduled to tip-off three hours after the previous game starting at 11:00 a.m. The semi-finals will take place on Saturday beginning at 4:00 p.m. and the Championship Game will be played on Sunday afternoon with an approximate tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.
