Frisco Thunder News Release

FRISCO, Tex. (April 30, 2008) -- It's playing for keeps time for fans of the Frisco Thunder's online video game ``Wes Cooper's 2-Minute Drill presented by EDS Credit Union'' featured on the team's official web site at www.friscothunderifl.com.

Monthly tournaments will begin on Saturday, May 3, with the winner receiving a Thunder prize pack. May's rewards include a Thunder t-shirt, football, an autographed Jake Reed football card and a $20 gift card from Randy White's Hall of Fame barbecue.

``We've done some upgrades to the site and fixed the glitch that prevented fans from registering their high scores,'' said Thunder spokesman Dan Ryan. ``Bragging rights are now involved, and that'll make for better game playing.''

The game, where players have two minutes to score as many touchdowns as possible during a Thunder playoff game, is one of the most popular features on the Thunder web site. One interesting note has been the usage from staff and players of other Intense Football League teams -- a Corpus Christi Hammerhead wide receiver has the current high score.

``We are delighted that our game is the source of reduced productivity in the camps of our esteemed competition,'' Ryan kids. ``If one of our opponents' players is taking time to play our game rather than study film or work on his skills, than we have accomplished our ulterior objective in addition to providing fun for our fans.''

Tournaments will be held on the first Saturday of each month. Winners simply have to have their high score registered by midnight CST and their user id pre-registered in advance by e-mailing tournamentid@friscothunderifl.com

On the field, the Thunder is 5-3 and sits in third place in the nine-team IFL. Currently on a two-week bye, the Thunder return to action on Saturday, May 10 against the CenTex Barracudas.
