The Pittsburgh Power signed their first Defensive End, Josh Gaines. Gaines played college football at Penn State University and was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent following the 2009 NFL Draft. In May 2010 Gaines signed a practice roster agreement with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.

Pro: Josh Gaines trained for the NFL Scouting Combine with Power Train Sports Performance and was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. In October 2009 he was signed to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL where he was signed to the active roster in May 2010.
College: Gaines was a three-year starter beginning in 2005 and in 2007 he helped to lead the Nittany Lion defense to a number two ranking in quarterback sacks and a seventh ranking in Big Ten total defense. Not only was Josh Gaines named a team captain his senior year, he finished his career with 105 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries.
