
Pittsburgh Hosts New Orleans for AFL Game of the Week on CBS Sports Network

PITTSBURGH, PA (April 10, 2014) - The Pittsburgh Power host the New Orleans VooDoo this Friday, April 11. Kickoff at CONSOL Energy Center is scheduled for 7:00 pm ET. The game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network with Ben Holden, Sherdrick Bonner, and Steve Papin calling the action. The game will also be broadcast on TribLIVE Radio with Ike Taylor, John Harris, and Ken Laird commentating.

LAST WEEK:
The Power come into Week 5 of AFL action after winning their first road game of the season in San Antonio, TX, 70-17. In the game, Pittsburgh scored on every drive until the final play of the game when backup quarterback Arvell Nelson took a knee to end the game. The Power held the Talons scoreless until :02 seconds remaining in the first half with Garrett Lindholm connected on a 41-yard field goal attempt. In the second half, the Power continued their domination, allowing only 14 additional points.
The VooDoo enter the matchup after capturing their first victory of the season last week against the Orlando Predators on their home field, 62-55. The game came down to the wire with the score tied at 41 at the end of three quarters of play. In the fourth quarter, former Power Jack Linebacker Alvin Ray Jackson grabbed a game winning interception that led New Orleans to a score and the win.
POWER TO WATCH | OFFENSE:
At the helm of Pittsburgh's offense is five-year veteran quarterback Tommy Grady. Grady has connected 70-of-118 passes for 718 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has gone two straight games without throwing an interception and has accumulated a QBR of 101.59.
Leading the Power's receiving corps is Shaun Kauleinamoku with 25 catches for 260 yards and three touchdowns. Kauleinamoku average's 86.7 receiving yards per game and grabbed his longest catch of the season last week with a 34-yard catch against the Talons.
VOODOO TO WATCH | OFFENSE:
Veteran quarterback Kurt Rocco is at the helm of the VooDoo's offense completing 39-of-66 passes for 510 yards and 11 touchdowns. Rocco averages 255.0 passing yards per game.
Leading the team's receiving yards is LJ Castile who has compiled 27 catches for 361 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season. He has scored a team high 60 points and averages 120.3 receiving yards per game.
POWER TO WATCH | DEFENSE:
Veteran defensive back Brandon Freeman leads the Power's defensive efforts with 17.0 tackles, one interception, and two pass breakups. Defensive back Virgil Gray has also contributed with 16.5 tackles, a team high three interceptions, and six pass breakups.
VOODOO TO WATCH | DEFENSE:
Leading the VooDoo's defensive charge is DB Cameron McGlenn with 19.0 tackles, three pass breakups, and a team high three interceptions. Following behind McGlenn is Eddie Moten with 18.0 tackles, four pass breakups, and two interceptions.
