Pioneer Baseball League's Mid-Season Tryout Camp Nearly Sold Out

The Pioneer Baseball League presented by TicketSmarter today announced that the league's Mid-Season Tryout Camp to be held at Memorial Stadium in Boise, Idaho on July 30 and 31, 2022 is nearly sold out. Only a limited number of registration spots remain available for ballplayers seeking a roster spot with the Major League Baseball Professional Partner League.

Camp registrants will be scouted by representatives of each of the 10 PBL clubs and a draft will follow the conclusion of play on July 31. Each PBL club will sign at least two players for their then current roster or an invitation to their 2023 spring training camp.

"We've received an incredible number of registrations thus far, so anyone looking to play professional baseball, particularly any players who weren't drafted in the MLB First Year Player Draft, should quickly register for the PBL's Mid-Season Tryout Camp," said Pioneer League President Mike Shapiro. "We have only a limited number of slots available, so if you think you've got the skills to play pro ball, now is the time to sign up.

Our ten clubs are looking to enhance their rosters for the second half of the season and for the playoffs, so the opportunities are out there."

25 players were signed by PBL clubs following the Pre-Season Tryout Camp held in Tucson, AZ.

The camp will include a pro-style skills evaluation day on Saturday, July 30 from 9am to 3pm followed by an inter-squad game on Sunday, July 31.
