PIFL Releases 2013 Schedule

KNOXVILLE, TN (September 19, 2012) - The Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) is proud to announce the release of the 2013 schedule with the season kicking off on March 8th.
Each team will once again play 12 games stretched over a 15-week season beginning with March 8th-10th opening weekend and the season concluding on Saturday June 15th.
The 2013 season will kick off on Friday March 8th with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks making their PIFL debut on the road against the Alabama Hammers at 8:30 ET. Lehigh Valley makes their home debut the following weekend when the Knoxville Nighthawks make their first visit to Stabler Arena.
As for the champion Albany Panthers, their 2012 title defense will begin on the road in the Smugglers Den against the Louisiana Swashbucklers before playing host to in-state rival the Columbus Lions the next weekend.
Some other key notable games on the 2013 slate include the lone championship rematch in Week 9 when the Albany Panthers make a third trip to Richmond in as many years to face the Raiders. In Week 4, the Charlotte Speed will make their PIFL home debut in an Easter Weekend showdown against the Steelhawks, that same weekend the Knoxville Nighthawks will also make their home debut versus the Raiders.
