June 24, 2014 - Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) News Release
NASHVILLE, TN (June 24, 2014) - The Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) announces that Harrisburg Stampede QB E.J. Nemeth, Nashville Venom LB Cobrani Mixion, and Georgia Fire K Lindsey Wolfe are the Week 13 Players of the Week.
Offensively it has been and up and down inaugural season in the PIFL for the Stampede (4-7), averaging over 61 points/game in their four wins versus only 34 in their seven losses thus far. In those four wins QB E.J. Nemeth has thrown zero interceptions, meanwhile in their seven losses he has coughed up a league-leading 18 picks. Week 13 was one of those glimpses where the Herd offense was clicking on all cylinders as Nemeth, the Week 13 Offensive Player of the Week, completed 19 of 31 passes for 267 yards and five touchdowns adding another three scores from the ground stretching his league-leading rushing total to 18. Already eliminated from playoff contention, Harrisburg travels to Huntsville to take on the Hammers this Friday in a make-up of a Week 5 meeting that was postponed due to bad weather.
On a roll, the Nashville Venom (9-2) won their league-high sixth consecutive contest defeating Richmond in resounding 63-28 fashion. With four teams sacks the Venom front four wreaked havoc on the Raiders all night leading including grabbing two fumble recoveries the final minutes of Saturday's first half. LB Cobrani Mixion, the Week 13 Zoombang Defensive Player of the Week winner, wrapped up three sacks alone and recovered one of those fumbles in the end-zone for a touchdown. Nashville will look to maintain their momentum as they face off in a potential championship game preview this weekend against Trenton. Win next Saturday and the road to the 2014 PIFL Championship will have to come through Nashville.

Stevens, this time out it's Georgia Fire K Lindsey Wolfe, who along with tying the record propelled the Fire to a 52- 49 upset victory over Trenton with his time expiring 33-yard game-winning field goal. Wolfe was a perfect 5 for 5 on PAT attempts, converted field goal tries of 30, 24, 39, 35, and 33, as well as two Uno's. By virtue of the Lions 69-31 win over the Hammers, out the playoff race Georgia closes out their inaugural season Friday with an in-state division clash against Columbus.
