The 2012 Newark Bears kick off the new season with a special on-field picnic open to the public, season ticket holders and media May 16, 2012 at Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium! The entire Newark Bears team will be on hand to meet and greet with the fans as they gear up for the season opener on May 17th against the Worcester Tornadoes, featuring Jose Canseco.
The picnic is sponsored by Brick City Bar & Grill. Events will start of with a press conference at 10am followed the picnic from 11am to 1pm.
This is a great opportunity to meet new manger Ken Oberkfell, new pitching coach Ralph Citarella, and Director of Player Development Tim Raines, as well as local baseball stars like Daryl Ward, Mike Ness, Brian Parker, and Damion Seguen.
Admission is only $20, per ticket, which includes food and a beverage. Tickets are limited! Individuals are encouraged to bring a blanket. The deadline to purchase tickets for the picnic with the Newark Bears is May 10th.
