Philadelphia Yellow Jackets Announced as City's Newest Professional Football Team
Football History is about to repeat itself in the City of Brotherly Love, as the Newest Professional Football Team, The Philadelphia Yellow Jackets will be officially introduced on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 8pm.
In the honor and spirit of the very first professional football team to begin play in Philadelphia, the Frankford Yellow Jackets began play in the NFL back in 1924 and represented the community and this city for 7 years thru 1931. They won the NFL Championship back in 1926.
Hosted by Joe Krause, the Owner of the Philadelphia Yellow Jackets, the Press Conference will include a meaningful list of City Officials including Councilman Bobby Henon, Councilman Mark Squilla former NFL Stars, Raheem Brock, Dan Klecko, Louis Riddick (pending confirmation) and Fire Commissioner Derrick Sawyer who has Engine 15 in Frankford still utilizing the name of the Frankford Yellow Jackets.
"The Team's Core Mission will be strongly measured by their ability to compete professionally within the AIF "" American Indoor Football League", stated Joe Krause "while off the field, they will be strongly measured by their ability to Play for Veterans - Play for the Community & Play to Change Lives within the Community."
Part of the two-hour event at McFadden's @ The Ballpark will be a Live Press Conference, starting at 8pm and the Conference will be carried on 610 SPORTS, ESPN Radio "" the future flagship Radio Station of The Philadelphia Yellow Jackets!
