Philadelphia Union II News Release
CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union II faced off against Inter Miami CF II at DRV PNK Stadium on Sunday evening, drawing 2-2, and earning two hard fought points on the road. In the first half, Union II put in a solid defensive shift to start the game, holding strong against an early Miami press. Miami found their breakthrough in the 27th minute, when forward Lorenzo D'Agostini was able to put the side up 1-0. Union II took seconds to respond after going down, when midfielder Maike Villero curled a shot into the top corner from outside of the box to level the score at 1-1. Goalkeeper Holden Trent made three big first half saves to preserve the level scoreline heading into the halftime break. In the 76th minute, Union II took the lead for the first time in the match, when forward Stefan Stojanovic scored his third MLS NEXT Pro goal of the season, but Miami would once again tie up the match minutes later when Miami midfielder Lucas Meek equalized in the 81st minute. Goalkeeper Holden Trent made nine saves throughout the match to keep the score level and send the match to a post regulation shootout. Trent made another big stop in the shootout, and Union II converted all four of their shots from the spot to secure an extra point away from home.
