Philadelphia KiXX News Release


The Monterrey La RaZa defeated the Baltimore Blast, 19-4, in the NISL season finale tonight. With the result, the Philadelphia KiXX have been eliminated from postseason play. The KiXX finished the 2008-09 NISL inaugural season ranked fourth in the League standings with a 10-8 overall record.



The final standings are as follows:

Rockford Rampage
Monterrey La RaZa
Philadelphia KiXX
Massachusetts Twisters


The Rampage and Monterrey will meet in the Semifinals, a home-and-home series with winner advancing to Championship game. Game One is scheduled for Thursday, April 2 in Monterrey and Game Two is set for Sunday, April 5 in Rockford; times will be announced shortly. If the two clubs split the contests, a "Golden Goal" overtime session will immediately follow the conclusion of the second game. The winner will then travel to Baltimore to meet the top-seeded Baltimore Blast in the 2009 NISL Championship on Saturday, April 11. Game-time at 1st Mariner Arena is slated for 7:35 pm ET and will webcast live at www.wcbm.com.
