Adirondack Phantoms News Release
It was a really good week. The Adirondack Phantoms returned from the annual summer meetings of the American Hockey League in Cleveland with three different awards recognizing the success of the ticket department.
"This is a tremendous accomplishment for us," said Phantoms Executive Vice-President Chris Porreca. "The staff works extremely hard in the presentation and promotion of our wonderful product. To be acknowledged by the league is a wonderful tribute for our staff as well as our fans."
"Glens Falls is the smallest market in the league by far which makes this achievement especially impressive," Porreca said. "Our fans are to be congratulated for their consistent support. They continue to prove that the business-model here really is working and that the long-term goal of a permanent AHL franchise is an extremely realistic one."
The Adirondack Phantoms ticket department won a Team Achievement award for season-ticket renewals by achieving a 90% retainment rate of the season-ticket base from the previous season. They won another Team Achievement Award for increasing their total Full Season Equivalents by 15%.The Phantoms ticket department includes Kevin Schildt, David Seitz, Bryan Wilgocki, Jim Benjamin and Erik Hansen.
Also earning an individual award was Director of Ticket Sales Kevin Schildt receiving third-place in the Eastern Conference for new Full Season Equivalents (FSE) which includes full season tickets as well as mini-plans.
"I am truly honored to receive this award," Schildt said. "There are so many extremely talented ticket sales personnel throughout the league and it is always a strong, healthy competition among all the different teams in the various markets. The fans of our small market also receive credit for making this happen. They are here to support our product with season ticket commitments and I can't thank them enough."
