Mahoning Valley Phantoms News Release
BOSTON, MA (Monday, September 29th, 2008) - Mahoning Valley Phantoms defenseman Cullen Lundholm is the subject of an in-depth player profile in this month's issue of the New England Hockey Journal.
The newspaper, which focuses on teams in the New England region and players who are natives of the region, is the primary hockey news source for the entire northeast.
The focus of the article, written by junior hockey columnist Bill Keefe, is the mileage that Lundholm has logged playing for different teams over the past few years, including stops with NCAA Division I's Mercyhurst Lakers and the USHL's Des Moines Buccaneers. Lundholm says he's a fan of the piece.
"I thought the article did a good job of telling my story," says Lundholm. "It's been a crazy ride and this article helps explain everything that's happened for me over the past year."
Lundholm currently leads Phantom defensemen in scoring with a goal and three assists, good for four points, and logs significant minutes with Mahoning Valley's power play and penalty kill units.
The 6'2" blueliner also says the article plays well with the audience he cares about the most.
"My parents really loved it."
