PETERSBURG, VA - The Generals fireworks show that was postponed on May 28th has been rescheduled for the final home game of the season on July 30th.
Due to the rain on May 28th the first fireworks show of the Generals season was postponed. The Generals staff and Dominion Fireworks have agreed to reschedule the show for the season finale on July 30th. That game will also be host family appreciation day. The Generals other two firework dates are June 12th and July 2nd.
The Petersburg Generals are a member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Heading into its 14th season with 15 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, the CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with wooden bats during the summer months. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts.
