
Pensacola's Brett Liscomb Named SBK Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, NCanuary 4, 2011) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Brett Liscomb of the Pensacola Ice Flyers is the SBK Player of the Week for December 27-January 2.
The holidays were certainly happy for Liscomb, who scored five goals and added five assists as Pensacola went a perfect 4-0 and moved into sole possession of first place.
On Monday, the Long Sault, Ontario native dished out four assists in leading Pensacola to a 6-5 win over I-10 rival Mississippi. Liscomb scored a goal in each of his next two games (4-3 win vs. Columbus, 6-5 win at Augusta) before closing out the week with his second four-point outing. On Saturday, Liscomb recorded his first professional hat trick and added an assist in Pensacola's 9-1 win over Columbus.
Liscomb, who turns 25 this month, played four seasons of major junior with Windsor and Ottawa of the Ontario Hockey League before spending two years at St. Francis Xavier University (Canada).
