Peanuts To Meet With Fans On Tuesday

The South Georgia Peanuts Professional Baseball Club, presented by Security Bank,is pleased to announce the first opportunity for area fans to meet and greet the Peanuts baseball players. Peanuts spring training will begin on Tuesday, May 8th. That evening, the Peanuts will be appearing at Locos Grill and Pub to sign autographs and meet with fans.

"This is a great opportunity for fans to come out and meet these ballplayers who are going to be representing this community all summer long," Peanuts GM Keith Michlig said. "I am very happy that on the first night a lot of these guys will be spending in Albany, they will get the chance to meet a lot of fans and see the support that this community has for the team."

The Peanuts will be available beginning at 7:00. They will be available for both autographs and pictures. The team will also be eating their team dinner at Locos.

Locos is located at 547 North Westover Boulevard in Albany. The Peanuts and Locos will be partnering together all season. The Peanuts expect to hold multiple events throughout the summer at the restaurant. "Locos Lounge" will be a luxury suite that is available for groups to rent this summer at Peanuts games and will feature the comforts of air conditioning and luxury seating. Food from Locos will be served in "Locos Lounge". Reservations can be made by contacting the Peanuts office.

The Peanuts are getting set for their inaugural season. All home games will be played at the Paul Eames Sports Complex. Peanuts tickets are currently on sale by contacting the team office at (229) 435-8900! The Peanuts home opener is scheduled for May 24 against the Charlotte County Redfish.
