Peanuts To Hold Job Fair

On April 21 and 22, the South Georgia Peanuts will be filling game day staff and entertainment positions. Auditions will take place for national anthem singers. The team is also looking for other musical and talent acts to perform during home games. Music groups, jugglers, clowns, magicians and others with special talents are encouraged to show off their skills for Peanuts officials. There will also be an opportunity to try out to become the team's first public address announcer or mascot performer. The team will be filling a number of other game day and press box positions as well.

"This is a great opportunity for baseball fans throughout the area to really get involved with the Peanuts," team general manager Keith Michlig said. "In order to provide a great experience for all of our fans, we will need a full staff to fill these game day positions. We are really looking forward to adding more members of the community to our staff."

The event will begin on the morning of the 21st at 10 and conclude at noon. It will resume the afternoon of the 22nd at 4 and conclude at 6. The Peanuts will begin the home portion of its schedule on May 24 and will play 45 games in Albany this summer.

The Peanuts are part of the six-team South Coast League. The 2007 season will be the inaugural season for the league. Peanuts tickets are currently on sale by contacting the team office at (229) 435-8900. South Georgia Peanuts...One Shell of a Good Time!
