Peanuts Looking For Singers And Bands To Perform At Ballgames

The South Georgia Peanuts Professional Baseball Club, presented by Security Bank, is currently looking for people with musical talent for the upcoming 2007 season. The team is continuing to hold auditions for National Anthem singers while also looking to book bands to perform after games on Saturday nights.

"One of the things I am really looking forward to is the local music talent that will perform as a part of Peanuts games," Peanuts GM Keith Michlig said. "Whether it is the nightly National Anthem singers or the concerts we are putting on after Saturday games, I think the local musicians are going to put on a heck of a show."

The team has been holding National Anthem auditions for the past few weeks and spots are moving fast. There are still a number of dates that that the team is looking to fill. If you would like to audition, you can get more information by calling the Peanuts' offices at (229) 435-8900.

After every Saturday home game this season, the Peanuts plan to hold full-scale concerts. The team is looking for local bands of all musical genres to perform on these nights. Interested bands should send a CD marked to the attention of "Saturday Night Live" to P.O. Box 4. Albany, GA 31701.

The Peanuts are getting set for their inaugural season. All home games will be played at the Paul Eames Sports Complex. Peanuts tickets are currently on sale by contacting the team office at (229) 435-8900! The Peanuts home opener is scheduled for May 24 against the Charlotte County Redfish.
