The Peanuts will play 45 home games at the Paul Eames Sports Complex. The team is looking for individuals who can work at a majority of the games.
"I think this is a great opportunity for some of the younger Peanuts fans," Peanuts GM Keith Michlig said. "I would have to think it would be a dream come true for many children to spend a summer working with professional baseball players."
The Responsibilities will include Clubhouse, Game Day, and Post Game Duties. During the ballgames, batboys will be responsible for giving baseballs to the umpire and retrieving the bats from the field. Other responsibilities will be assigned by the team's field manager and clubhouse attendant. Batboys will begin working for the Peanuts on Friday, May 11 and employment will conclude on the final day of the season, including Post-Season Play if necessary. Children interested in becoming a batboy need to visit the Peanuts' offices at the Paul Eames Sports Complex to fill out an application.
The Peanuts are getting set for their inaugural season. All home games will be played at the Paul Eames Sports Complex. Peanuts tickets are currently on sale by contacting the team office at (229) 435-8900! The Peanuts home opener is scheduled for May 24 against the Charlotte County Redfish.
