September 25, 2012 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) News Release

The Professional Arena Soccer League today announced it has approved the application of the Chicago Mustangs to join the league for the 2012/13 season.

The Mustangs will compete alongside fellow Illinoisans Rockford Rampage and Illinois Piasa and will play in the new Central Division.

The team will call Grand Sports Arena in Hoffman Estates home and will host tryouts there on September 29 at 12:00pm. The arena is located at 2350 Hassell Rd.

Nasser Rafidia will serve as Chicago's General Manager and the team will announce its Head Coach at a later date.

Tickets will be available for the team's eight regular season home games on October 8 and the team has secured www.chicagomustangspro.com as its official website.

The PASL, entering its fifth season, will finalize its 2012/13 alignment this week with the announcement of two additional teams which will bring the total to 19 teams competing for this season's Ron Newman Cup.

"Going from 12 to 19 teams this offseason has surpassed all of my expectations," said PASL Commissioner Kevin Milliken. "We're excited about what's in store for this season and that the PASL is coming to Chicago."
