PASL-Pro to Broadcast Championship Weekend Live

March 11, 2009 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) News Release

3/11/09 - The Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) announced today that all five games from Championship Weekend will be broadcast live on the Internet, while the Stockton Cougars games will be simulcast on KSTN 1420 the official radio home of the Cougars.

All matches can be heard at http://www.californiacougars.net/upload_images/player.htm?poc=2 starting with Friday's opening game at 5:00 pm PDT. The opening match will feature La Cabana and the Edmonton Drillers. Following at 8:00 pm PDT will be the Denver Dynamite and Tigres Dorados MRCI Oaxaca.

Marc Serber will handle the play by play duties for both games. Serber has been calling games for the Detroit Waza on WazaTV this year and is looking forward to calling the postseason even though his Waza team did not qualify. "It's an honor to be considered to call the PASL-Pro's first ever playoff game," said Serber. "The atmosphere at Stockton Arena will be electric with teams from Canada, Mexico and the United States doing battle in the same weekend."

Serber will also man the microphone for Saturday's opening match featuring 1790 Cincinnati, a team he saw his Waza face five times this year, and the winner of the Denver/Tigres game.

Taking over at 7:30 will be veteran Cougars play-by-play voice Greg Young, who will handle his normal duties when Stockton faces the winner of La Cabana and Edmonton.

Depending on whether Stockton wins on Saturday or not Serber, Young, or a duet could call Sunday's championship game at 1:00 pm PDT.
