Winston-Salem Parrots News Release
The Parrots played one game last week, a 2-1 victory at home over the Macon Trax. Parrots Goaltender, Dan McIntyre, was the star of the game stopping 47 shots; including 26 in the third period. Matt Holmes & Doug Merrill scored the Parrots goals.
The Parrots are riding a two-game winning streak heading into play this week.
Parrots Leaders:
Goaltender Dan McIntyre continues to lead the ACHL's netminders with a 1.82 goals against average and a 94.8% save percentage.
Janis Tomans continues to lead the team in scoring and in goals. He has sixteen goals and thirteen assists good for 29 points.
Defenseman Ken Fels leads the team in penalty minutes with 108 minutes in 20 games.

Matt Holmes is second in the ACHL in shooting percentage with 10 goals on 34 shots for a 29.4% shooting percentage. Holmes also leads the ACHL in shorthanded goals with three.
Defenseman Andrew Dickson is third in the ACHL in +/- with a +15 rating.

Flying Ahead:
The Winston-Salem Parrots begin the week in third place in the ACHL with a record of ten wins and ten losses, good for 20 points in the standings. The Parrots are now within five points of second place Knoxville (who the Parrots play at home on Friday night).
The Parrots have acquired Goaltender Andy Kollar from the Orlando Seals for future considerations. Kollar had played in one game for the Seals posting a 1.00 goals against average and a 96.4% save percentage in sixty minutes of action. Goaltender Michal Lanicek was placed on waivers to make room for Kollar. Lanicek, in nine games with the Parrots was 2-5-1 with a 3.56 goals against average and a 87.8% save percentage.
