
Parrots Return Home For Two Games This Week

The Winston-Salem Parrots have returned home to the friendly confines of "The Cage"; the Joel Coliseum Annex, following a tough four-game road trip which saw the Parrots drop two in regulation, one in overtime, and one in shootout. The Parrots play twice at home this week, Thursday night @ 7:30PM against the Macon Trax and Saturday night @ 7:30PM against the Knoxville Ice Bears.
The Parrots begin the week in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League with a record of 16 wins and 15 losses, still in third place in the ACHL (tied with the Cape Fear Fire Antz). Thursday night's opposition, the Macon Trax are in fifth place, four points behind the Parrots. Saturday's opponent, the Knoxville Ice Bears,are in second place, now ten points ahead of Winston-Salem.However, the Parrots still have six games in hand on Knoxville.

Parrots Team Highlights:
Chris Cerrella is third in the ACHL in scoring with 23 goals & 25 assists: 48 points.He is also second in the ACHL in goals scored with his 23 goals.
John Gurskis is fifth in the league in assists with 30.
Matt Holmes is second in the league in short handed goals with 3 and is first in the ACHL in shooting percentage (15 goals on 58 shots: 25.9%). Holmes is also tied for first in game winning goals with 5.
Andrew Dickson is second in the league in plus/minus with a +25 rating. Chris Cerrella is fourth with a +19 rating.
Dan McIntyre continues to lead all goaltenders with a 2.03 goals against average and a 94% save percentage.
