The Winston-Salem Parrots begin an important home & home series with the Cape Fear (Fayetteville) Fire Antz beginning with ThursdayÂ’s 7:30PM face off at the Joel Coliseum Annex. Friday night, the two teams meet again in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Both the Parrots & Fire Antz are tied for third place in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League with 33 points in the standings.
Thursday night’s Parrots game is billed as “Thirsty Thursday”. ALL tickets are ONLY $5.00 and there will be $2.00 beer specials available.
Cape Fear Fire Antz Notes: Fayetteville’s Fire Antz are coached by former Carolina Thunderbird, Bryan Wells. He was a popular “T-Bird” during his brief stays in Winston-Salem during the 1986-87, 1987-88, and 1990-91 hockey seasons. In only 26 games with the Thunderbirds over the three-years he played in Winston-Salem, Wells totalled 302 penalty minutes!
Tickets for all Parrots home games are on sale at the Joel Coliseum Box Office, or by calling Ticket Master: 722-6400 in Winston-Salem or 852-1100 in Greensboro. Tickets will be on sale at the Coliseum Annex Box Office right up to the 7:30PM face off!
