Parrots Defeat Knoxville 3-2 in O.T. on Tuesday / Return Home on Friday

The Winston-Salem Parrots did it again on Tuesday night in Knoxville, extending their ACHL leading winning streak to eight games. The Parrots defeated the Ice Bears 3-2 in overtime to move into a second place tie with Knoxville. Both teams now have 31 points in the standings, however, the Parrots have five games in hand on the Ice Bears.

The Parrots Matt Holmes scored his 13th goal of the year 1:21 into overtime. Chris Cerrella had a goal and two assists for Winston-Salem. Goaltender Dan McIntyre stopped 40 of 42 shots.

The Parrots look for their ninth straight Friday Night @ 7:30PM at the Joel Coliseum Annex against the Macon Trax. It's the Parrots final home game in Winston-Salem until January 23rd. Following Friday's game, the Parrots head on the road for four games.

Parrots tickets are $8.00 & $10.00, with a $2.00 discount for children 12 & under, seniors, and students with a valid student I.D. Tickets are available at the Joel Coliseum Box Office right up until Friday's 7:30PM face off.
