
Parkview Field to Host MercyMe in Concert

Fort Wayne, IN - Parkview Field will play host to award-winning Christian recording artists MercyMe on Friday, August 7th. Gates will open at 6:30pm for the 7:30pm show.
"We are excited to be welcoming an act of this magnitude for the first on-field concert at Parkview Field," said TinCaps Team President, Mike Nutter. The Fort Wayne TinCaps, who manage special events at Parkview Field, worked with Trinity Communications in order to bring MercyMe to Fort Wayne.
"Since Parkview Field opened this past April, we've been looking for an opportunity to bring in a national performing act and utilize the facility's capabilities. Trinity Communications is the perfect partner to make this happen and we couldn't be more excited to host MercyMe this summer."
Tickets for the August 7th concert go on sale Tuesday, June 23rd at both the Parkview Field Ticket Office and the Anchor Room Bookstore. Tickets are $10.00 for ages 6 and over, tickets will be $15.00 at the door. Phone orders are available by calling Trinity Communications at (260) 484-1029.
MercyMe received international success with their breakout hit single, "I Can Only Imagine" reaching the 5th spot on the US Adult Contemporary chart, and #1 on US Christian radio in 2001. They followed that success with four additional songs that have hit the top-20 US Adult Contemporary chart and eight that have ranked #1 on US Christian radio. Some of their chart-topping songs include "Word of God Speak," "In the Blink of an Eye," and "So Long Self."
MercyMe has received seven Dove Awards since 2002, including Song of the Year for both "I Can Only Imagine" and "Word of God Speak" as well as Artist of the Year and Group of the Year.
